The Cause of Acne

Most scientific websites and books agree that the cause of acne is trans-dermal (beneath the skin) bacteria, which irritates the skin when it becomes clogged in pores. While your intuition would tell you that water and soap would be the best to keep your skin clean and acne free, it’s actually products that can open clogged pores, penetrate deep down, and kill the bacteria that work (AND THERE ARE FEW KNOWN TO DO THAT). Washing the dirt and oil off your face once or twice per day is necessary, BUT, it’s not going to kill acne.

AND SO…my on the go acne treatment HAD to:

A) Unclog Facial Pores

B) Kill the Bacteria Inside the Pores.

If you take a peek at the ‘ingredient’s’ section of most over the counter acne treatments, 9 times out of 10 they will contain either Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid. Why? Because they 1) PENETRATE AND OPEN CLOGGED PORES, 2) KILL BACTERIA THAT CAUSES ACNE, 3) DON’T BURN YOUR FACE OFF. The third one is debatable, depending on the concentration of the ingredient and your skin type.

I’m an All Natural Nut (no pun intended), and obviously Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid can’t be included in my all natural formula. But with a little bit of research I discovered that Benzoyl Peroxide is extracted from Tea Tree Oil, and Salicylic Acid is extracted from White Willow Bark. A GREAT START!

I came home with various vials and jars of all natural extracts. I mixed them together and Oh my goodness, you can’t believe what happened!!! This stuff literally zaps zits right on the spot. I would feel one coming in, rub this stuff on it two or three times during the day, and by the time I was back home it was gone!!!

Bacteria Fighting / Pore Penetrating Ingredients:

 

White Willow Bark- White willow bark is what we get Salicylic Acid from (check the ingredients of most acne meds, most contain either Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide). BP is much cheaper and produced in a laboratory. White Willow Bark and bacteria do not get along, and WWB always wins the fight!
